Reflections and Goal Statement : ２０１５年３月

Reflection: This semester, I've tried to set aside more time to review the material to get a better understanding and familiarity with it. While the grammar and vocabulary has gotten more difficult, using the language in practice is feeling a bit more natural than before. Being able to pick up on more phrases and structures in music and anime has been good motivation as well.

I wasn't able to make it to the language tables so far, but will make an effort to attend each remaining week if possible. I will spend time to review not just the current textbook chapter, but previous chapters as well.

My goal statement remains nearly the same for this final part of the year. Although this class has been one of my most rewarding so far, I am uncertain whether I will have to the time in my schedule to continue to 2nd-year Japanese. As such, I want to find a good place at which to end the year to make the most of the class.

New Goal Statement: To be able to speak naturally in simple conversations with Japanese speakers by practicing a solid foundation of everyday conversational vocabulary and grammar.
